Caresse Nadeau

Arts and Community Engagement Coordinator

Caresse Nadeau is an interdisciplinary artist based out of the Comox Valley with an extensive background in performance, visual, and multimedia mediums. She brings to Walk With Me her extensive skillset honed through work as both an independent artist and with various non-profits over the last ten years. From her lifelong work in dance, theatre, and music she has been involved with every aspect of artistic production, and has worked extensively over the last decade in media arts creating a variety of work from music videos to social justice pieces for non-profits. She teaches and guides groups through arts-based practice, sharing her passion for the arts as a vector for creating meaningful connection and change. Caresse is a uniquely skilled artist with a diversity of expertise.

 

In the day-to-day of Walk With Me, Caresse supports the project through directing arts based practices, such as illustration, cultural mapping practices, exhibition curation, photography, videography, and design work which can be seen throughout the Walk With Me website, research reports, zines, and through images contained throughout both. She supports the creation of Walk With Me's Story Walk audio tracks through audio engineering, editing and the weaving together of stories and soundscapes. Caresse is an artist rooted in community development and is passionate about social justice.
